Closing the Season with a Native Queen 🐝🍂
As the days shorten, our beekeeping season at Harleyhill Homestead gently winds down. The hives are wrapping up their work, and so are we—with one last buzzworthy milestone.

A Royal Arrival: Native Amm Queen 👑🐝
We’re proud to introduce one of our final mated queens of the season—a native Apis mellifera mellifera (Amm). Known for their resilience and calm temperament, these native bees are perfectly suited to our Irish climate. She’s settled in and already laying strong.

Looking Ahead to Spring 🌸🍯
With this final queen in place, we begin closing the hives for winter. Our bees will rest—and so will we—until the hum of spring calls us back.
